About the Artist

"First let me say very clear, what is about me, is not important. Only what is about the Lord is important. Truthfully, nothing else. Nonetheless, there are many who have seen my artwork and wish to know more about the artist who created that artwork. I understand that and therefore I shall share parts of my life with you all now, and let the glory be for Him alone."

Danny Hahlbohm was born in Mineola, New York in 1949. He enlisted in the Armed Forces in 1968 and was sent overseas to the Vietnam war. Honorably Discharged in 1972, Danny began painting for galleries across the Nation. Within a year Danny began touring across the country with his artwork.

(many of you may have met him while on tour during that time)

In his 50+ year career there have been over 200 different reproductions of Danny’s paintings distributed to over thirty countries around the world. His work can also been seen not only in print reproduction form in galleries and websites that carry his work, but in addition to that, his artwork can be seen on billboards across the USA, magazine and book covers, limited edition plates, puzzles and even headstones and monuments. If you google his name, there are over 113,00 websites that sell and/or use his inspired Christian artwork today.

Through his artwork, Danny has seen many miracles simply because of his commitment to the Lord. He has witnessed a lady ready to commit suicide, stop, looked at one off his paintings and began crying in front of it. The painting "My Son... My Son". The Holy Spirit began talking to her as she viewed this painting and she could not go through with the suicide. Another time, a pastors son had traveled a long distance just to tell Danny he rededicated his life because of the artwork he had seen during one of his shows just a few days prior.

From the late 1970‘s, through the 1980‘s and into the 1990‘s, there is no telling how many millions of people have been effected by the artwork they have seen nor the countless miracles that became because of them.

Danny paints from visions given to him by the Lord and the Holy Spirit. Many times the Lord will wake Danny up in the middle of the night and give him a vision to paint. He has a large chalkboard in his office because of this. He will write down the details while they are fresh in his mind at 2AM so he will remember it clearly the next morning when fully awake. He will then paint it. Practically every Christian painting you have seen of his came from these visions. Either in the middle of the night or even by day at times.

Here is a statement by Danny Hahlbohm regarding this:

"I have received numerous visions from the Lord, mostly in the early hours of the morning. Some are meant to be painted, and some not. Sometimes He gives me a vision and then years later I begin painting it. Such was the case with Pastor Wanda Alger who commissioned me to do her book cover "Words to pray by in 2022."

Reinhard Bonnke once said that "Visions are God allowing a person to see through His eyes for that moment." I believe that. In many cases i have lived that out. There have been times during a vision where I have beeen taken up to a place in the heavens to view the vision, then brought back down to recreate what I have seen and to paint it as best as I can.

Although I never took any art lessons, I never needed to. For it is not I that paint these paintings, it is done by the Holy Spirit. He guides my hands and thoughts as I paint them. Therefore, He, and He alone is the artist behind the artist. I am merely a tool that He uses in order to create it on canvas so you too can see His handiwork."

Danny is the first to tell you, he is nothing special, he just has been given a gift. However, when we use the gifts God that He has given us, we become special in the eyes of the Lord, and the eyes of people who see them.

"If my artwork has blessed you, comforted you or given you hope in this world, then give thanks to where is needs to be - to Christ. For without Him we can do nothing.  John 15:5

That which I do, I do out of love... first out of love from the Father, and then out of my own love for you, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ.

As Jesus Himself once said, “I only do what I have seen the Father do."

John 5:19
